Club Seminar Series: Simple Freight Car Weathering Overview

In our third installment of the Club Seminar series for 2018 we'll be providing an overview to the club's Simple Freight Car Weathering following our March club meeting on the 10th. If you struggled to get your trains to behave on the club's layout with derailments and uncoupling at a show this session will be ideal.

In the session we'll cover the basic of weathering cars to take that shining toy like appearence away.  Memebers are encouraged to bring there samples of weathering work and to share their ideas and techinques  At the end of the session we'll have a hand-on demo and field any Q&A that the members have.

Always on the lookout for news after train shows to see if we make any of the media coverage.  Here is an article found by our friends at Train Show Inc.,after the March 2018 (TCA) Rocky Mountain Train Show wonderfully written by Burt Rutherford via BEEF Magazine.

The "Still Play with Trains"  talks about how "we must always look to the future. But we must always remember that we are where we are today because of the men and women who came before us."

A photo of our layout from the TCA show last weekend made it into this article in Beef Magazine The train is Steve Campbell passing through the farm module.  You can read the full article here:
