A well-maintained website attracts more visits, won't look out-dated, and will helps us engage better with our visitors.  While we  regularly update our website on club activities periodically we like to take portions of the website offline to update and improve the overall appearance and function of the websites to get more traffic, boost visits, and strengthen the club's brand identity.

During the week of July 16th you may find portions of the website unavailabe or offline. We'll be doing the following Website maintenance starting on July 16, 2018:
  • Content updates to keep the website fresh and relevant
  • New feature integrations to enhance our website functionality
  • Website performance checks and improvements
  • On-page search engine optimizations
  • Content formatting to enhance readability and user experience
  • Other small website maintenance tasks
We apologize for any inconvenience.

On various occasions the members of the club take advantage of the summer weather and take a slight diversion from modeling trains and venture to a local park to launch their model rockets.

On July 7, 2018 to close out the holiday weekend some of the club members will be gathering at Westminster City park off 104th & Sheridan at 8am to launch a couple of salvos.  We'll be there from 8-10am unless we run out of rocket motors sooner.  The weather should be good for launch attempts between 8am -10am, temperatures are forecast  to be between 72 degrees and 80 with a slight southerly wind of 5mph

Direction to the park can be found here:

If you interested joining to launch please e-mail Brent and let him know

Starting this year, the club created an Annual Membership Survey which gives us the opportunity to hear from all of the members at once to gauge the satisfaction of membership with the direction of the club.  The thought is that the more we listen, the more we can do to make the club an exceptional place.

This year’s Survey opened on Saturday, April 7th and runs through May 12th. Here are a couple of highlights from the survey worth sharing:
  • The overall satisfaction with the club scored a 4.73 out of 5
  • Responses to the surveyrated the value of the club dues 4.64 out of 5
  • Confidence in the Club Officers and Board of Trustees managing the club scored a 4.91 out of 5
  • Satisfaction with Club Activities scored a 4.73 out of 5
Other interesting tidbits were shared through the comments of those who responded to the survey that the favorite show of the group is the Rails in the Rockies train show although it was the poorest attended show in 2018. We also heard clearly that we need to build more modules replacing older modules and creating industries and places to switch

You can read the full survey results in the report available here. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I want to thanks those who participated in the survey allowing us to gained valuable insight into what’s working well and where we can improve.
